Having been involved in one way or another in the restaurant business since the 1980s, Mr. Leslie Ooi knows precisely what it takes to make his diners happy and satisfied. He first opened the doors of DeHappy Restaurant to the public in mid 2000s serving sumptuous Local-island styled seafood cooking.
Primarily a seafood restaurant located in bustling heritage Geroge Town, Penang, DeHappy uses only Halal ingredients in all its dishes and do not serve pork and alcohol. Ala-carte servings ranging from bread and snacks to noodles, rice and seafood meals are available during lunch hours from 11.00 am to 3.00 pm. Dinner hours begin from 5.00 pm till 12.00 midnight while dim sum styled Teochew porridge is available from 9.30 pm to 3.30 am.
We serve more than 200 types of ala-carte meals and dishes and 40 variety of dishes to go with your porridge. The dishes are prepared by our six chefs who each have 15 to 25 years of experience in fusion style cooking. Supported by 40 staff members, we strive to ensure that every meal you have at DeHappy Restaurant will always exceed your money’s worth.

The outdoor open-sitting area has capacity to accommodate up to 400 pax while the indoor air-conditioned area can accommodate up to 80 pax. Ideal for gatherings, special occasions and company functions.
Facilities such as Astro satellite TV, Wifi and audio system are available for use free of charge in the indoor section.
